COVID-19 Information

During the impact of COVID-19, Progressive Behavior Systems is dedicated to providing the most up-to-date and accurate information possible in order to maintain the safety of our employees and the participants of our program. Following the regulations set by the Idaho Governor in junction with the Center for Disease Control (CDC), PBS has issued the following memo (subject to change as instructed through proper authorities):

MEMO: Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

April 7, 2020

To All Participants and Staff:

As everyone is aware, the Idaho Governor has issued a statewide stay-at-home order and PBS encourages all participants and staff to abide by this order as best as possible. Medical needs, groceries, and other necessities are permissible as they are essential. There are various grocery stores locally that are offering select days/hours to accommodate individuals in need of additional assistance. Please contact your PC if you are interested.

Officials in Idaho are working with the CDC and offering safety recommendations to the public as they arise. Delegates are also in regular communication with the Idaho public health district offices and healthcare providers around the state. With updating knowledge, PBS is following guidelines as appropriately as possible. New information is being provided daily and many suggestions are altering day by day as well. We will do our best to relay information to each of the houses as we become aware of changes that are needed. We are working hard to navigate this process and appreciate your patience and understanding in the meantime.

The behavioral health industry is considered essential and every person plays a part in the health and safety of our community. There is a binder (all information is also included on this page of the PBS website) put together to provide as many resources as possible to keep everyone informed of this situation at hand. As further recommendations roll out, we will update the binder to ensure everyone is aware of correct information. Please read the information and follow the guidelines for a safe and healthy environment for all. Please reach out if you have questions or need clarification with something.

Should someone at PBS (participant or staff) get tested for COVID-19, this does not imply they have the virus. Please keep in mind this is their personal health information and cannot be shared for their privacy per HIPAA rights & regulations. Should there be a confirmed case of COVID-19 in one of the homes, the following protocol will take place: The staff and participants who have been in that home will be notified, we will work with each individual to address it and follow the guidelines from the medical professionals.

Thank you for working through this tough and uncertain time. This is all new to each of us and it will take everyone at PBS to support one another in order to get through it. Should you need additional support, information (including information in an additional language), essential supplies, please reach out to any of us at the admin office. We are all in this together and will do everything we can to help.

Again, thank you for your understanding,
