The Branch for Refugee Youth in the Treasure Valley is a free-of-charge program that reaches out to refugee and immigrant youth, providing them tools, resources, and activities to ease the integration process into the United States. The program includes a unique cultural exchange among its attendees, focusing on an education on navigating U.S. cultural “norms.”
BRYT is open to any refugee or immigrant youth from 12-20 years of age. However, if you or someone you know is interested in the program but feel that you/they are unable to attend due to transportation, Medicaid issues, or not being within the age bracket, please reach out regardless! This club is extremely accommodating and we want to ensure that it is inclusive above all else!
We meet at the Progressive Behavior Systems location (2995 N Cole Rd
Ste 230 Boise, ID 83704), unless otherwise specified. Regular meeting times are 3:45pm-5:30pm (approx.), and there will be snacks and drinks provided! With continual and regular attendance, BRYT members will receive prizes like gift cards to local restaurants or coffee shops!
Each BRYT meetings consist of social activities, games, crafts, art lessons, all while learning about other cultures and how to understand U.S. culture in a fun and integrative way!
BRYT is dedicated to reaching individuals who are interested in engaging with other cultures, groups, and individuals. By joining this group, you will be able to openly express yourself without judgment and gain a new understanding of how others think and feel. BRYT is a space that allows for openness, acceptance, and growth as a unit.
If you are interested in becoming a member of BRYT, feel free to contact the Program Director, Karley Laverty, by phone at (208) 513-7463, or email at email@example.com!
